James joined Chambers in October 2011 following the successful completion of his pupillage and accepts instructions in all areas in which Chambers specialises. James read law at undergraduate level at Exeter University and studied for a Master en Droit Européen at the University of Rennes, before being called to the Bar in 2009. Prior to joining Chambers, James undertook a LLM in corporate law at University College London.

Commercial chancery - all aspects of commercial litigation, applications, construction of contracts, sale of goods, partnership and guarantees
General chancery and company - all aspects of company law, family provision, wills and trusts
Property - all aspects including conveyancing, mortgages / charges, easements and restrictive covenants
Landlord and tenant - residential and business, possession, secured and assured tenancies
