Simon gained a leading first in Modern History from Oxford University and was called to the Bar in October 2000. He specialises in commercial law and insolvency. He has worked in some of the major restructurings of recent times, including Federal-Mogul (for the administrators and trustees of the T&N personal injury trust) and Metronet (for creditors). He has a wide experience of cross-border issues and represented the applicants for the first London High Court recognition order under the Cross-Border Insolvency Regulations 2006 (Re: Rajapakse). Before joining Chambers, Simon worked for six years as an employed barrister in the Advocacy Group of Denton Wilde Sapte, a major international law firm. Simon accepts instructions in all areas of Chambers' expertise and appears in the High Court and County Courts throughout the country.
