Bertie became a member of Chambers following the successful completion of his pupillage.
Bertie developed a broad commercial chancery practice during pupillage and accepts instructions across the range of Chambers’ areas of work.
Bertie graduated with a degree in English and completed the GDL and BVC, during which time he volunteered as a lay advocate with the School Exclusion Project. Prior to joining Chambers, Bertie worked on the legal team for the Infected Blood Inquiry and volunteered with an anti-death penalty charity in St Louis, Missouri.
