Chris joined the Leeds centre of Chambers in October 2017, and is developing a broad commercial and chancery practice. His experience includes general commercial disputes, company, partnership and insolvency law, trusts, probate and estates litigation, conflicts of law and jurisdiction, and property and real estate litigation. He accepts instructions in all of Chambers’ practice areas. Chris grew up in Leeds and Harrogate, before studying Philosophy, Politics and Economics at Oxford University.

Chris appears regularly in the High Court and County Courts throughout the country.

Chris completed eleven months of his pupillage at a leading commercial chancery set, and the twelfth and final month of his pupillage seconded to Chambers’ Leeds centre where he was supervised by Hugo Groves. Chris also spent nine months working for a large firm of solicitors (trusts & succession disputes team) in both a contentious and non-contentious role, and dealt with personal and commercial clients on a regular basis.
