Profile

Sofia joined Chambers in October 2026, following the successful completion of her pupillage. During which she has developed a broad commercial chancery practice.

Sofia accepts instructions across the range of Chambers’ areas of work. She has particular experience in corporate and personal insolvency matters, commercial disputes and property disputes.

Sofia graduated from King’s College London with a Bachelor of Laws, where she was awarded the Athena Liu Law Bursary for outstanding academic performance in her first year of studies. She then completed a Master of Laws in International Commercial Law at University College London with a Distinction. During her Bar Vocational Studies course, Sofia specialised in Corporate Law and Practice, also graduating with a Distinction. She obtained a Major Scholarship from Inner Temple.

Prior to starting pupillage, Sofia was a judicial assistant in the Court of Appeal to Sir Colin Birss and Lord Justice Nugee. She also conducted seminars as an associate tutor in tort law at Birkbeck, University of London.

Sofia worked as an undergraduate research fellow on the 4th edition of Aplin and Davis, Intellectual Property Law: Text, Cases, and Materials and as a research assistant at the King’s Centre of Construction Law & Dispute Resolution. During her studies, Sofia volunteered with the King’s Legal Clinic and FRU and was a junior editor of the UCL Journal of Law and Jurisprudence.
