Enterprise Chambers is always interested in receiving applications for tenancy from

established practitioners, individually or in groups, whether for London or for our Bristol, Leeds or Newcastle branches.  Please feel free to contact the Head of Chambers (James Pickering, direct line 020 7440 6713) or Head of Recruitment (Linden Ife, direct line 020 7440 6721) if you would like a preliminary discussion in strict confidence.

Recruitment of pupils is undertaken through the Pupillage Gateway.  The selection process will be carried out in London.  Please indicate on your application form in which branch of Chambers you would like to do your pupillage.

Kelly Bond, describes the application process:

“There are two rounds of pupillage interviews. The first is a short panel interview focusing on a legal problem. The second is an assessed mini-pupillage lasting for three days. Two days are spent with different members of chambers. The other is set aside for the candidate to draft a written opinion.

Inevitably, this is an intense process. Nevertheless, I felt that it was a realistic and detailed assessment. Over the course of the two rounds, I was asked to demonstrate both written and oral reasoning, legal knowledge, research skills and practical awareness. I had been assessed by several members of chambers and had had two days to show my general attitude and approach to life as a pupil. Most importantly of all, I felt that if nothing else, I had at least been given a fair chance to prove myself.”

Mini Pupillage

We offer unassessed mini pupillages of up to two days to suitably qualified applicants.

Applicants should preferably be in the second year or above of their undergraduate degree.  School visits / work placements are not offered.

Offers will normally only be made to those applicants who have studied some law at degree level or on the Graduate Diploma in Law.  However, all applications will be assessed according to their individual merits and in exceptional circumstances, offers may be made to applicants who have not yet studied any law, but intend to do so.

Applications will only be considered if made on the Chambers' application form, which can be downloaded below.  All applications should either be sent by post to the centre to which the application is made (London, Leeds or Newcastle) addressed to "The Mini Pupillage Secretary" or by email to the following email addresses:
