Junior Tenant Recruitment

Enterprise Chambers wishes to recruit outstanding starter tenants in both its London and Leeds branches, to commence practice in October 2017.

Junior tenants at these chambers can expect a busy workload with a strong emphasis on litigation.

Enterprise Chambers is fully committed to equal opportunities.

Please apply in strict confidence with a letter and CV, indicating whether you wish to apply for the London or Leeds tenancy, or both, by 21st June 2017 to:

Tenancy

Enterprise Chambers is always interested in receiving applications for tenancy from
established practitioners, whether for London or its northern branches (in the case of London, currently by established practitioners over 10 years' call).  Applications or preliminary enquiries should be submitted in the first instance to
Linden Ife.

Pupillage

Recruitment of pupils is undertaken through the Pupillage Gateway.  The selection process will be carried out in London.  Please indicate on your application form in which branch of Chambers you would like to do your pupillage.

Kelly Bond, describes the application process:

“There are two rounds of pupillage interviews. The first is a short panel interview focusing on a legal problem. The second is an assessed mini-pupillage lasting for three days. Two days are spent with different members of chambers. The other is set aside for the candidate to draft a written opinion.

Inevitably, this is an intense process. Nevertheless, I felt that it was a realistic and detailed assessment. Over the course of the two rounds, I was asked to demonstrate both written and oral reasoning, legal knowledge, research skills and practical awareness. I had been assessed by several members of chambers and had had two days to show my general attitude and approach to life as a pupil. Most importantly of all, I felt that if nothing else, I had at least been given a fair chance to prove myself.”

Third Six Months Pupillages

At present, Enterprise Chambers does not offer third six month pupillages.

Mini Pupillage

We offer unassessed mini pupillages of up to two days to suitably qualified applicants.

Applicants should preferably be in the second year or above of their undergraduate degree.  School visits / work placements are not offered.

Offers will normally only be made to those applicants who have studied some law at degree level or on the Graduate Diploma in Law.  However, all applications will be assessed according to their individual merits and in exceptional circumstances, offers may be made to applicants who have not yet studied any law, but intend to do so.

Applications will only be considered if made on the Chambers' application form, which can be downloaded below.  All applications should either be sent by post to the centre to which the application is made (London, Leeds or Newcastle) addressed to "The Mini Pupillage Secretary" or by email to the following email addresses:

For further guidance on the application for a mini pupillage, please see the text at the end of the application form.
